There were discussions regarding the entertainment, catering, etc for the disabled club on 13 March. There is to be a day of dance in the Reid Hall on 27 March and duties have been allocated to branch members. East Angus branch of the RSCDS have written to ask if they can join with Forfar as they do not have a class of their own and this will be considered at the AGM. The Spring Social will be at the Royal Hotel. There will be a 2 course meal and music will be provided by Luke Brady - the cost will be £15.00. All dancers are asked to bring a small raffle prize. A date of 20 February 2009 has been arranged for the Annual Dance. John White is to be asked to play on the first Tuesday of each month in the next session. The question of unauthorised teaching during class sessions was discussed and all members are reminded that this is discourteous and unhelpful. It was agreed that a new microphone and new CDs would be ordered.

The 2007 Annual General Meeting takes place at the East & Old Hall on 15 May at 7.30 pm.
In celebration of the fact that our branch celebrated 50 years as a branch of RSCDS in 2003 a new dance "A Birl Roond Forfar"was devised by the committee and set to music by Deirdre Adamson. It had its first "Airing" at our annual dance on 28 December 2003. The dance depicts a walk through the streets of Forfar to climb up "Bummie" (Balmashanner Hill) and then down past where the witches were caught and burned before returning to the Cross, past the old jute weaving mills, and on round Forfar Loch. (A CD has been released by Deirdre Adamson featuring this and other dances).
